Awards and Grants

The Royal Society of Naval Sciences works to encourage active participation within its sphere of interest, and therefore grants awards for competition essays, articles submitted to the Tidskrift i Sjöväsendet and for commendable work at the National Defence College.

His Majesty the King has granted the Society the right of conferring a medal. It is issued in two classes, gold and silver, and together with Honourable Mentions, which may be accompanied by a sum of money, are the awards bestowed by the Society.
