Aims

The aim of the library is to

• care for the collection,
• purchase new works and so support the aims of the Society in the furtherance of the development of the naval sciences and of maritime matters in general,
• to ensure the availability of the library for members, employees of the Defence Establishment, researchers, and for those of the general public interested in the naval sciences and maritime matters and
• to register the Society’s papers and documents.

The Society welcomes suggestions from members and other interested parties as to appropriate books that would contribute to the development of the library. Likewise, donations of books, articles, and so on written by members are greatly appreciated.
